I actually don't care who it is as long as it somebody given the support of the owners to come in and give the little darlings the biggest kick up the arse. The club stinks of complacency, with too many living off past glory and believing they are untouchable and possibly bigger than the club itself. We need a massive shake up and clear out from top to bottom, starting with Rudkin and a good few players.

Watford are fantastic to watch. Just like us a couple of years back.

Silva is doing a wonderful job there. It's a brilliantly run club that change managers practically every year and get better for it.

Probably because it is the exception rather than the rule. Burnley are proving that giving a manager time to build a squad and an identity even after a perceived 'failure' can be a sensible and fruitful thing to do.

Agreed. Weird how Silva seems to be doing quite well for Watford right now yet couldn't really get it going at Hull.. Still it's early days there.

Someone like Pellegrini would be a better short term appointment for us. I think Dyche would be a bit like Pearson, someone you take on to build something over the longer term but may be a bit more risky in the shorter term. Shakespeare IMO would have been like Clough at Derby, sticking with a shit manager when it's painfully obvious he's not up to the standard because everyone is telling you how important stability and 'time to build' is. We did the right thing getting rid early, the stupid bit was taking him on permanent in the first place.
