Absolutely underrated. Some of the finishing in that video is first class. His ability to find space in the box with well-timed runs too.

I will always think we did him a disservice in turning him into a more "complete" midfielder. He had untapped potential as a number 10. Reminded a lot of Lampard in his early days.

That's one of the few mistakes Pearson made when he came back, wanted to play 442/4411 and moved King deeper

not everything is black and white.

you can still make a small mistake and succeed overall at the time Andy King was our biggest goal threat and we willingly removed that to try and play Jermaine Beckford and Nugent together, Pearson himself ended up trying to play a 433/4231 type system with us after promotion and we still haven't found a midfielder that can chip in 10+ goals a season, we already had one and dulled his attacking play.

Overall Pearson got us up so no one cares, but we could have had that goal scoring midfielder and cost us nothing in transfer fees
