Probably the only chance England have of winning a test match is to turn it into a one-day style slog when they bat last. Amazing viewing that was...but papered over some pretty big cracks.
It is a pretty good card to have up your sleeve though. True enough, it's maybe 'not cricket' and does overlook the fact the England were otherwise very poor*, but take nothing away from Stokes. That was a stellar performance (and probably a stella one afterwards!)
*Notable exclusion being Archer with the ball in the 1st innings. That was a pretty devastating bit of bowling.
