I don't remember us calling it a glorious defeat. I still feel the hurt after all these years. If they were to call it a glorious defeat they would be lying. And what's more, they would know that they were lying.
Mea culpa. I was reading a table where Birmingham, Plymouth and Sheffield Wednesday could all get past them if they drew.
Still wouldn't want to leave it to chance on that last day though. Get it done at Deepdale!
You'd rather risk it against a Blackburn side who still need to ensure Championship survival than finish it off at Preston who have nothing to play for?
I see it very much like that. We've already heard the very credible story about his visit to the manager's office being followed by a period of 'home leave'. And I don't think I can remember any other current City players involved in media appearances. I'm sure he's made his last appearance.
It's very doubtful that he will even get a seat on the bench, so seems very unlikely.
I do feel that bridges have been burned in the last couple of weeks, what with his Sky pundit appearance and now this.
Pah! Only 5-0. Shows what we have come down to. Only a few seasons ago that we got a record breaking nine against them in one game. This season it's taken two games. And we let them score in the first one too. Useless!
😄
